Sulfuric Acid Dewpoint Temperature Monitor   Need more information?

New LANCOM 200 - Portable Monitor

For monitoring:

Cold-end acid corrosion
Combustion efficiency
Fuel additive optimisation
ESP efficiency
Acid smut and aerosol emissions
Toxic Release Inventory (TRI)

Benefits of Sulfuric Acid Dewpoint Monitoring

In order to maintain the operating efficiency of coal or oil-fired boilers, it is important to know that the temperature of the exhaust gas is above the sulfuric acid dewpoint temperature (ADT).

If it is much higher than the sulfuric acid dewpoint temperature, then energy is wasted heating the gas and efficiency drops. Operating the boiler at temperatures below the sulfuric acid dewpoint temperature will result in the formation of sulphuric acid inside the boiler and particularly on the 'colder' parts of the plant.

Sulfuric Acid Dewpoint Temperature monitoring ensures that the optimum point is maintained - just above the sulphuric acid dewpoint - where no sulfuric acid is being formed, but efficiency is maximized.

LANCOM 200 - portable sulfuric acid dewpoint monitor
It is designed specifically for plant requiring only periodic monitoring of the sulfuric acid dewpoint temperature for boiler efficiency checks, corrosion protection and evaluation of the effectiveness of corrective measures such as fuel additives and changes in the combustion conditions.

Manage the use of high cost fuel additives such as MgO
Monitor SO3 slip within an ESP to improve ash collection efficiency, whilst minimising acid aerosol emissions
Prevent Air Heater Fouling
Reduce maintenance caused by cold-end corrosion, by maintaining the exit gas above the acid dewpoint temperature
Monitor acid aerosol emissions (H2SO4 / SO3)
Monitor and reduce acid smut emissions

Features
